Thousands of Retaining Rings for thousands of applications: Spirolox® offers standard spiral-wound retaining rings made from carbon and stainless steel in diameters from 7/16" to 15" for light, medium, and heavy-duty applications, internal or external. You can also choose from a broad selection of special application retaining rings in diameters up to 85", made from a variety of materials, and with tabs, prongs or other devices to facilitate assembly and disassembly. A wide choice of metric retaining rings are also available. All Spirolox® retaining rings are available with a choice of standard and special finishes.
Why more design engineers are specifying Spirolox® Compression Wave Springs: instead of conventional round wire springs, coil springs, or wavy washers, more and more design engineers are specifying compression wave springs for taking up play and compensating for dimensional variations in tight radial and axial spaces under both static and dynamic conditions. Reason: Compared to those alternatives, compact wave springs save space and provide more precise load deflection characteristics. This allows engineers to design smaller assemblies with lower free lengths and/or lower operating heights -- sometimes by as much as 50% -- while improving deflection characteristics.
